The servo mechanism fits between the clutch pedal and master cylinder. It uses vacuum from the inlet manifold to assist clutch operation, in a similar way to a vacuum-assisted braking system.
This version is designed for the limited space around the clutch pedal on a left-hand-drive Defender. According to Britpart, the unit is designed to fit without cutting or drilling the vehicle.
